This time, they were Omamori.
Omamori are small lucky charm sachets contained paper with inscriptions to protect us from bad luck. Actually, I never checked inside of Omamori. So it could be a some kind of objects?
I don't want to make Omamori mad because of my rude behavior such as peeking inside of it. By the way, you can buy those at temples and shrines.
Talking about luck, I didn't know what "knocking on wood" meant before.
Being in this industry, many people have knocked on wood during conversations in front of me.
One time a guy at a diamond company knocked on every wood at his office after I talked about my business and apartment that I wanted. He told me to do the same thing. I didn't know what was happening, but I just followed his instruction.
I finally found out about what that was about a few months ago. It was to ward off tempted fate.
I hope my jewelry will be your Omamori!
